villa or an old converted farmhouse on the little island of Gozo with
the possibility of a cruise or sail at any time you wish, as the boat that you
charter will always be at your disposal, waiting for you at the harbour. You
can choose to come back in the evening or sleep on board - the choice is yours.
Sailing
or cruising the deep blue sea round the Maltese Islands is really fascinating
and relaxing. You can drop anchor in one of the many remote coves unreachable
from land and swim in the crystal clear blue Mediterranean and relax in the
sun. You can also sail on round the islands stopping at some small fishing harbour
and go ashore to some good fish restaurant or even buy the fish from the fishermen
and have it cooked on board.

ONE WEEK SAFARI (from October until May)
This is a week's programme and clients are met at the Malta International Airport
and brought over to the Barbarossa. During a welcome drink, divers are given
full information about the boat and the week's program. Generally, arrivals
are in the evening and tea and dinner is served on board while still in the
marina. Mgarr is a very nice harbour and the new marina is well kept. The showers
in the same building are of a five star hotel standard and those who want can
make use of them at any time using the boat's special admission key.
Accommodation on board, is in 5 double cabins, all with shower and toilet en
suite. There is a nice galley and sitting area inside, but generally food is
served on the aft deck round a big table. There is also a canopy to provide
shade from the hot mid-day sun. There is also a lot of space on the front deck
for sunbathing.
On the first morning, after a good breakfast, the boat will leave the harbour
and sail to the first dive site. Depending on the weather conditions, the boat
will always sail to different spots to make the programme more interesting.
Enter and exit from the water is via a platform and steps from the water up
to the deck. There is a fresh water shower on deck as well which can also be
used to rinse the equipment after the dive.
Generally
we do two dives a day but sometimes we can also do an extra dive. Lunch will
consist of a big fresh salad or pasta. Tea, coffee and water are included. In
the evening, the boat will return to the marina, where dinner will be served.
We are never more than one and half hours away and it is worth going back to
the Yacht Marina for various reasons. The main reason is safety and then for
more comfort as the boat will lay still and there will be no generator noise
as power will be from the marina. Besides, after dinner, one can visit the bars
around the harbour for a drink and meet the locals. There is also the possibility
of visiting other parts of the island by means of a landrover which is kept
at the service of the clients, if they wish to drive around. This landrover
is included in the liveaboard package and there is no extra charge for this
service.
On the last day, we can either make a tour of the island or set up the sails
for a day's sailing and relaxing while the equipment is drying before packing.
This programme can be booked by a complete group as we do not take individual
bookings. Maximum number is 10 persons.
The captain reserves the right to sail according to weather conditions and can
change programme for the sake of safety.

Welcome
on board the Barbarossa, a 23 metre motor sailing boat, for a wonderful sailing
trip visiting the Thee Islands of Malta, Gozo and Comino. We can assure you
that this will be one of the best trips of your holiday. The Captain, together
with the crew, will do their best to make this trip an unforgettable one. Enjoy
yourself and sunbathe on the spacious deck. Dive into the crystal clear water
and you can use our snorkelling equipment available for free on board.
On
this trip the boat will sail to Paradise Bay, where we will drop anchor for
a nice refreshing swim, and then proceed to Anchor Bay. Here we will stop and
have a look and take photos of Popeye Village from the sea. On the way, the
crew will go round with Gozo Cheese and Galletti.

BARBAROSSA SAILING TRIPS & EXCURSIONS:
Three Islands Sailing Trip
Leaving Mgarr Harbour at 09.30 and back 17.00hrs.
Marfa / Malta at 10.30 and back 16.30 hrs.
This is a full day trip on board a beautiful motor sailing yacht, the BARBAROSSA, visiting the three islands with stops for swimming and snorkeling at various places.
We will stop at Paradise Bay, Popeye Village, Crystal Lagoon, Blue Lagoon, Mgarr Harbour in Gozo, cruise round Comino and to Armier Bay. Passengers can help the crew to hoist the sails. Trips to the caves and various activities with spot prizes will be organised during this trip full of fun and adventure.
Combi Tour -- Sailing, Jeep Safari & Cultural/Historical Tour
Leaving: Gozo at 09.30 and back 17.30
Malta at 10.30 and back on the 17.30 ferry.
This adventure will start with a half day sailing trip visiting the three islands with stops for swimming and snorkeling in various bays including the Blue Lagoon on Comino.
After lunch, the boat will berth at Mgarr Harbour where you will find the Jeeps waiting to take you across the Gozo countryside on a Jeep Safari. The tour guide will take you through the hidden roads of Gozo that you would never find on a normal excursion. This way, you will see the real Gozo. You will visit places of great interest and then back to the harbour about 17.30. Jeeps are to be self-driven and for this purpose you must bring your driving license with you. When you book, please indicate number of persons who would like to drive. Non drivers can join other groups.
Sunset trip and Dinner in Gozo

Leaving: Marfa Malta at 17.00 Hrs and back 23.00 Hrs.
Trip will start at 17.00 hrs and goes to Comino where we will stop for a swim in the Blue Lagoon. The boat will then sail to Popeye village for a photo stop and watch the sun setting on the horizon of the blue Mediterranean. After sunset we get back to the harbour in Gozo where we will have transport to the Mariblu Restaurant. Fresh Fish is on the menu, washed down by some good Gozo wine. After dinner we will visit the Old Citadel, a place full of history and charm. We will catch the 23.00hrs ferry to Malta.
Optional: Night at La Grotta Disco
For a small supplement, after visiting the Citadel, clients can opt to join the tour leader for a night at the local disco La Grotta. Instead of going back on the 23.00 Hrs. ferry, there will be transport to the disco, free entrance, free drink and back to Malta with the 02.00 Hrs. ferry and back to your hotel. Ferry ticket is always included.
Full Day Round Comino on board a Motor Cruiser
Starting: Mgarr Gozo at 09.30 and back 17.00
Marfa Malta at 10.30 and back 16.30Trip will go round the whole island of Comino and Cominotto and will make several stops for swimming and snorkeling at Crystal Lagoon, the Caves, Blue Lagoon, St. Nicholas Bay, and Santa Maria Bay. We will make a stop on the island with time for a walk, or a swim off the beach. One may also stop for a coffee, a drink or an ice cream from the terrace of the Club Nautico Hotel (at your own cost).
This trip is ideal for people who cannot swim in deep waters or who have young children, as we stop on the beach and go to places where big boats cannot go.
The boat used for this trip is a 40-foot cabin cruiser and on this trip we limit ourselves to a small number for more comfort and individuality. There is a bathing platform and shower as well as toilet facilities on board.
Leaves: Mgarr Gozo at 10.30 and back at 16.30
Boat will leave Mgarr Harbour and goes round the island of Gozo stopping in several bays for swimming and snorkeling. One can admire the high cliffs of Gozo as well as all the historical watchtowers built by the Knights of St. John. Historical and general information will make this trip even more exciting. We will pass by Mgarr ix- Xini Bay, Xlendi Bay, Fungus Rock, the Azure Window, the entrance to the Inland Sea, Jordan Lighthouse, Wied l-Ghasri, the Salt Pans, Marsalforn Bay, Ramla Bay where Ulysses met Queen Calypso, St. Blas and Dahlet Qorrot as well as a stop at the Blue Lagoon on Comino for our last swim and then back to Gozo.
